Training
Action Care's medical professionals have an unmatched understanding of both the personal and medical needs of their patients. An understanding of a patient's medical needs comes from a combination of experience and education. All Action Care professionals maintain certifications and training that meet or exceed established state and federal guidelines, and allow each EMT / Paramedic the opportunity to grow as a care provider. We also provide our employees continuing education and training throughout the year.
Action Care Ambulance provides training on new technology and assists our employees with obtaining their required continuing education credits. Classes may be offered in house or through agreements with our ancillary agencies and partners. Instructors include Action Care employees, physicians from local hospitals, and guest educators from local colleges and educational institutions. Emergency driving (EVOC) classes are held throughout the year and are mandatory for all field employees to attend.
Action Care's training department utilizes a PDA Stats Simulaid mannequin to create real-time scenarios for skills checks and ongoing education. It can be programmed to simulate various lung sounds, cardiac rhythms, and various medical/trauma emergencies.
Community Outreach
Our employees provide educational sesseions for all age groups during which we review the EMS System and what to expect if the need for EMS ever arises for them. These sessions include a tour of the ambulance and equipment demonstrations. Please contact Randy Pennington at penningtonr@actioncare.com to schedule an outreach class.
Continuing Education
Action Care assists our personnel with obtaining their required continuing education. Classes may be offered in house or through agreements with our ancillary agencies and partners.
